At a Glance

I designed and developed a modular web application that allows clients to log in and manage their marketing operations autonomously. The portal focuses on transparency and automation, serving as a centralized "Brand Portal" to unify overseas influencer marketing operations into a single client dashboard.

The platform serves as a single source of truth for clients, automating the journey from influencer selection to financial settlement, while providing real-time visibility into campaign status, budget burn rate, and influencer selection progress.

The Challenge

Our agency specializes in connecting brands with overseas Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). However, our internal workflow and client reporting were fragmented.

The Disconnect

Client data was scattered across spreadsheets, WeChat/WhatsApp logs, and manual PDF reports.

The Friction

Clients had no real-time visibility into their campaign status, budget burn rate, or influencer selection progress.

The Goal

Build a centralized "Brand Portal" to serve as a single source of truth for clients, automating the journey from influencer selection to financial settlement.

My Contribution

Because I straddled the line between product management and development, I was able to ensure the design was both feasible and user-centric.

Product Management

I gathered requirements from internal stakeholders to define the user stories for the Finance and Reporting modules. I prioritized the roadmap to focus on high-value features first, such as automated status updates.

Front-End Development

I built the core interface using React. My focus was on creating a polished, high-end "Liquid Glass" aesthetic to match the creative nature of our industry. I also focused heavily on accessibility, refining button sizes and font hierarchies.

Automation Logic

I worked on translating manual workflows into automated scripts (migrating from n8n to Python), ensuring that when a campaign status changed in the database, the client's dashboard updated instantly without manual data entry.

Copywriting

I crafted clear, concise copy for the interface, ensuring that complex financial and campaign data was presented in an understandable way for clients across different regions and languages.

The user interface felt static and "corporate."

Solution

I implemented custom CSS animations for interactions (like button hovers and registration flows) to make the platform feel modern and responsive, debugging complex layout shifts to ensure smoothness.

I designed the Finance module to handle multi-currency displays clearly, ensuring clients understood their ROI regardless of the market.

Takeaways

Building the Brand Portal was a unique opportunity to combine product management, design, and development skills in a single project. The experience reinforced the value of wearing multiple hats—being able to translate stakeholder needs directly into code allowed for faster iteration and more user-centric solutions. The project also highlighted the importance of automation in reducing manual work and increasing transparency, which ultimately led to stronger client relationships and improved operational efficiency.
